## About Andres Lehtmets

Andres Lehtmets is an independent advisor and researcher with 15+ years shaping financial regulation at EU and global level. He bridges the gap between financial innovation and regulation, advising fintechs, financial institutions and supervisory authorities.

Current roles: Founder of Andres Lehtmets Advisory, Research Analyst at Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), Supervisory Board Member at Lightspark Payments Europe AS.

Previously: Senior InsurTech Expert at EIOPA (6+ years), where he led the InsurTech Task Force, shaped EU policy on open insurance, AI governance and digital finance, co-led the IAIS Open Insurance working group, and built the EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy (EU-SDFA) training 1,500+ supervisors across Europe. Before EIOPA, he worked at the Estonian Ministry of Finance in the Insurance Policy Department.

Education: Master's in Public Law (cum laude), Master's in Law and Information Society.
